This lily is one of the very best yellow hardies. Texas Dawn received the International Water Lily Society's 1990 American Award. When planted in USDA zones 6 - 10 in the early spring, this lily can be expected to produce seven or eight delightfully scented blooms at a time by the middle of summer. In late summer and fall the flowers may take on an attractive pinkish cast. Texas Dawn is highly recomended for any size watergarden in zones 6-10. It is possible that the rhizome could survive a zone 5 winter if given protection.
