This is the most common representative of a once large and proud clan. A clan that, in the Carboniferous Age, ruled much of the planet. This is an ancient plant that has figured out all that there is to know about how to survive on planet Earth. For this reason, it is easy to grow. It will tolerate everything from near drought to being inundated to a depth of as much as 3 or 4 feet. Its stolons are known to be incredibly invasive so where ever you put this one, you should be ready to contain it. It works well whenmixed in withother plants along a pond edge, or against a wall or stone, etc. It provides a good clean vertical line when maintained and cna be very effective in the right setting. Easily propagated by rootstock division.
