      Dichromena is one of the best members of the Cyperaceae. It is easy to grow within its range and brightens any bog garden with its bright white bracts, which last all summer. The dried stems make good additions to dried flower arrangements. Does best in shallow water in strong light. Keep clean by pinching out old stems. Winter dormant, protect from extreme cold. Propagation is by division of the rootstock, which eventually forms a loose clump with projecting runners.
