      This is a plant that is useful along the edges of streams and ponds. It is also a good plant for a hanging basket planter. It can be encouraged to hang down in dense, hairlike growth. It produces new plants at the ends of its leaves, which hang down in their turn. Excellent, also for holding muddy slopes. Tolerant of foot traffic. WIll grow in average soil. Native to springs and alkali marshes of southern California.
