      Among the cattails, this is the most attractive. Its variegated leaves stand out among the darker leaves of most of its bog-mates. It is shorter than its more familar counterpart, T. latifolia. Should be gorwn in partial shade because the tips of its leaves tend to burn in the hot sun. Hot, dry winds can cause damage, as well. Should be repotted every couple of years. A beautiful plant when in its prime.
