After selecting a site, dig a hole roughly in the shape of your preformed liner. Excavate the pond 2 inches deeper to allow for sand. Make sure to remove any sharp rocks or other objects the sides and bottom before installing your preformed liner.

Install and level the pond. Begin to fill the pond with water while you backfill underneath the form with sand to fill the hole.

Add a filter, pump, and coping stones as you finish filling the pond with water.

Treat and/or age the water as necessary. Add plants and fish. You are ready to enjoy your new pond.
